Terms of service

Effective 19 October 2026
These are the rules for using MSE Today. In short: you must be 18 or over, MSE Today shows information and is not financial advice, our market data and our AI assistant can be wrong, and paid plans follow the rules of the store or payment provider you use. Who can use the service

You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority where you live), have a Google or Apple account to sign in, and agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy.

Using the service

You can use the service to follow Malawi Stock Exchange (MSE) data, build and manage portfolios and watchlists, set price alerts, ask questions in Ask, play the daily games, and read our help and Learn content.

You may not reverse engineer, scrape, resell or misuse the service in any way, including automated access to our data or our Ask assistant. We may suspend your access if you break these rules.

Premium plans and billing

We offer Premium as a paid plan. How you pay decides the rules that apply.

Through the App Store or Google Play

    - Payment is charged to your Apple ID or Google Play account when you confirm the purchase.
    - Your plan renews automatically unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
    - You can manage or cancel it at any time in your phone's account settings.
    - Apple or Google handles all billing and refunds. We cannot refund App Store or Google Play purchases ourselves.

Through PayChangu (mobile money or card)

    - You pay through PayChangu. We keep the payment details described in our Privacy Policy so we can match your payment to your plan.
    - Plans paid through PayChangu do not renew on their own. Before your plan ends we remind you, and you choose whether to pay for another period.
    - Payments through PayChangu are not refundable, except where the law requires it.

We are not financial advisers

We are not a licensed financial adviser or a brokerage. Everything in the service is for information and learning only. It is not advice to buy, sell or hold anything. You use the service at your own risk, and we are not responsible for investment decisions or financial results that follow from using it.

Data accuracy

Market data on MSE Today comes from the Malawi Stock Exchange's public website and daily reports. We try to keep it accurate, but we cannot promise it is always correct, complete or up to date. Data may be late or corrected afterwards. Check anything important with the MSE or your broker. MSE Today is independent. It is not run by, endorsed by or connected to the Malawi Stock Exchange.

The Ask assistant

Ask is an AI assistant that helps you understand market data and find your way around the service. You accept that:

    - its answers are for information only, and are not financial, investment or legal advice;
    - it can sometimes be wrong, incomplete or misleading;
    - you should check any figure, calculation or claim yourself before you act on it;
    - we are not responsible for what you do or lose by relying on it.

Your content and share links

Your portfolios, watchlists and other entries belong to you. You give us permission to store and process them so we can run the service. If you create a share link to a portfolio, anyone with the link can see what you chose to share. You are responsible for who you send it to, and you can switch the link off at any time.

Intellectual property

The content and features of the service, including data, articles, design and code, belong to MSE Today or its licensors. You may not copy or redistribute any part of it without our permission.

Ending your use

You can stop using the service at any time, and you can delete your account in Settings. We may suspend or end your access if you break these Terms, with or without notice. Deleting your account does not cancel an App Store or Google Play subscription. Cancel that in your phone's account settings.

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. We will post the change with a new effective date. If you keep using the service after that, you accept the new Terms.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Malawi, without regard to its conflict of laws rules.
